Excellent Retreat, Far Surpassed My Expectations!

Excellent Retreat, Far Surpassed My Expectations! After going through a divorce and having part of Christmas break without my child, I wanted to go away, I didn't want to be alone, and I wanted to do something that would help me stay positive and focus on self-care. This retreat was within driving distance, was happening during the exact dates I was looking for, and seemed really interesting to me. Equine therapy is something I have never done before and I wanted to try something new. I had no experience with horses and had no idea what to expect but the description sounded so interesting. This was a retreat with six women called Endings and Beginnings. The focus was on letting go of what didn't serve you in the previous year and getting clear on what you wanted to bring into the new year. We would be working with horses and doing some journaling. This retreat was the best thing I did for myself all year! I learned so much about animals, not only horses, but cows, goats, and donkeys. From them, I learned about the importance of self-care, setting boundaries, and walking forward in faith and courage. It was a great balance of sharing with the other ladies, journaling, learning some yoga and deep breathing, and spending time with the animals. The food was delicious, and the accommodations were amazing. Kim, who leads the retreats, is absolutely wonderful! She spoke with me prior to the retreat and explained what to expect and how everything would work so I felt completely comfortable signing up. She was the same in person, very welcoming, gifted at drawing us in, and fostering camaraderie between the ladies right from the start, she led with strength and compassion, ensuring we stayed on track and accomplished what she set out for us to do. I highly recommend this retreat, I believe it will greatly exceed your expectations!

If You're A Woman Who Loves Animal AND Wants To Expand Her Spirituality, This Is For You! I want a change in my life, in my LIVING, and this looked good. It was so much more than ‘good’. It was transformational. My life changed, and I’m on the road to even more change. I was having a monumental bday. It was one where as an adult, one wonders if it will be the last one. Better Care of Me

I am an attorney because I value “taking care” of people. I go to court every day and I try to take care of my people – my clients, my family, my community. The Imagine Equus Farm lawyer retreat taught me that I must “take care” of me, before I can do any of that effectively. The equines taught me that I must be kindest to my self before I can be kindest to others. Through our retreat leader Kim’s excellent facilitation, I learned to really “be” there. Whether at the cabins, the amazing Chalet, the barn or in the woods, I was there only. Kim taught me to be “there” - present in my environment in new and rewarding ways. The Imagine Equus Farm’s “there” has good food, good company, comfy space and an ability to “be” – not “do.” > I stayed in a cabin on the beautiful property where I had even more opportunity to interact with the horses, miniature donkeys, goats, and even Romeo, the steer, when we were not in session. By the end of the retreat I felt like I was part of the herd. Kim, the staff, the other participants and the animals all seemed to teach me something. I am so very grateful for every moment I had at the retreat. It resonates with me every day. I bring my self back to being there and I am grateful. I am a better partner and friend and lawyer for the time I took at Imagine Equus Farm. I take better care of all the folks – but most importantly, I take better care of my self.

"About a week ago I went to a well-being horse retreat for attorneys in Tryon, North Carolina. I heard about it because it is ran by this bad ass attorney who used to do death penalty work. I knew her work as an attorney was phenomenal, so I took a leap and tried her horse retreat. It was 4 nights and 5 days of taking care of myself, and focusing on well-being through work with horses.
